This was pretty cute despite being pretty predictable with all the tropes

“You never realize you’re living the best time of your life […] It happens and then it ends, and you only see it for what it was after.”
The miscommunication trope should be illegal lmao. This book would’ve been a solid 5 stars if the miscommunication hadn’t gone on for as long as it did. I was pretty forgiving of it at first because I did feel like the author did a great job at setting up Briana’s and Jacob’s traumas individually so when the miscommunication happened it actually made sense for the plot. But then it just kept going longer than I felt was necessary to drive the point home. Other than that though, I had a good time reading this story. Jacob has been added to my list of fictional boyfriends, thank you.

This was 5 stars for me until the pregnancy at the end. I hate that trope. That’s just my preference though. Otherwise, I really enjoyed this. I LOVE when the characters are flawed and when mental health is discussed.
