1.5 ⭐ That extra half a star is for the portrayal of an ER RN as competent, caring yet tough, independent and principled.

The concept of this book has huge potential. Unfortunately, the writing is sophomoric at best with misused words, incorrect use of homophones and copious passive sentences.

I could find it possible to overlook the majority of these problems if not for the interminable detailed descriptions of the most mundane, useless things. I really do not need to know what the MCs have eaten for each meal on each day. I ended up skimming so much that I'd miss actual plot points.
