If you're wondering how the head of a Dora the Explorer costume, a TikTok influencer, and a wild boar emptying his bladder for an entire minute on live TV are somehow connected, read this book post haste.

As Dave Barry's blurb concludes: "In fact, nothing in this story goes as planned. This is, after all, Florida.

I'm glad I stumbled upon this at the local library.

My first true comedy fiction read and I loved it. I read it on MDW to relax and have a few giggles and I truly did. It reads like a tv show in the sense that I can picture all of this happening. I was frustrated with Jesse but then It became clear to me that she isn’t smart. And that sounds means but when you think about her actions from no contact with her “controlling” but supportive parents to her dating history (and trusting them both with her money and life), you’re like wow, lots of bad decisions. But then you see everyone around her is making even worst decisions. But in this case, it made for laugh out loud book and not one that makes me want to chunk my kindle across the room. Would read more from him since everyone claims this isn’t even his best work.
