A fast-paced whirl of a book with sharply realized characters and plenty of adventure. I felt a little disappointment when I realized that Steph's creepy dad was after them because he wanted her mom's super-duper decryption key and not just because he was an abusive sociopath, but I think that might just mean that I need to take a break from sf set in "our" world.
Graphic: Toxic relationship, Stalking, and Domestic abuse
Moderate: Bullying, Car accident, Kidnapping, Racism, Violence, and Medical content
Minor: Transphobia and Fire/Fire injury

This was a great read! The main character, Steph, was very likable, she cares about the people around her and is a smart 16 year old. The other characters are very queer, there's a lot of different LGBT+ rep, including non binary, ace, pan, gay and lesbian. We almost got the whole spectrum of identities represented :) all the other characters, the online and offline friends of Steph are super sweet and wholesome. Besides that, the characters were pretty white. There's only 2 POC that are explicitly written as such
