I stopped reading this book at 30% because it was super boring to read about archaeological stuff in minute detail. Might be interesting for archaeologists, but not for me.

Hopefully I’ll come back and finish this is print, but it’s too dense for an audiobook as I enjoy them.

Absolute tour-de-force! Second half becomes a bit bogged down in heavy archaeology discussions but if you excavate the ancient treasures hid within the excavation of ancient treasures it is worth it

The linguistics portion of this book is fairly accessible, but the archaeology (the majority of the book) is detailed in the extreme. A highly fascinating and informative discussion of PIE and the steppe hypothesis, but not for the faint of heart.
