This second book of Hank Edwards delightfully quirky series was just as fun as the previous one.
The enemy is again supernatural and both Cody and Demmy are so not on the ball trying to capture it.

The characters are fun and silly and I love their antics
Finally SOMEONE is realizing that he might have feelings.

I loved the end of the book. It reminded me hard of both video games and 80s’ horror movies.

If you like funny horror with a dash of sweet pining, go forth and read.

Was mainly disappointed with how repetitive this was. Since I read books 1 & 2 back to back, I was able to see how some sections were literally copied and pasted from book 1 (the Widow Monroe, for example). It was just disappointing not having the author find new ways to recap information. Or to have the recaps be so long when the book itself is already so short.

The next book is supposed to be when things really take off. Looking forward to it!

Demmy and Cody are back in a wild adventure that doesn’t disappoint. Hank Edwards continues his brand of fun, humor, sexy men and the paranormal in Chasing the Chupacabra.

Despite their first paranormal case of a wolfman, Demmy and Cody just want life to be normal and for their business to pick up. They are riding the business red line, and it makes neither man comfortable. However, things being what they are, Cody and Demmy approach the strife in classic best bud style when they are engaged in an unidentified critter case.

I loved the Supernatural/X-Files feel this series of books has, in addition to the romance gently weaved into the story. Edwards creates his own version of the paranormal romance, blending the supernatural and the slow-burn feelings both Demmy and Cody are experiencing in an excellent manner. It’s not all smut or romance either, as the hilarious antics of both men and the people that inhabit Parson’s Hollow return to not only help out with Cody and Demmy’s case but in their personal lives as well. Edwards ramps up the UST between the men, and it doesn’t let go.

Feelings are happening and neither man is certain just exactly what is going on between them, but something definitely is! And it isn’t just the strange and paranormal happenings that seem to be plaguing Parson’s Hollow.

Chasing the Chupacabra is a fun and hilarious romp from the safety of my tablet screen, and I can’t wait to see where Hank Edwards takes us, and Cody and Demmy, next.

Lighthearted paranormal. I loved the guys' thoughts and interactions. Edwards does a good job showing the characters' personalities.
