 “Life, believe, is not a dream
So dark as sages say;
Oft a little morning rain
Foretells a pleasant day.

Sometimes there are clouds of gloom,
But these are transient all;
If the shower will make the roses bloom,
O why lament its fall ?”

A gorgeous selection of works by iconic women writers of Anglophone literature.
Although it took me a very long while to work through the tome, it was entirely worth the effort. I found some wonderful gems that I had never heard of before, as well as finally getting around to experience a few of the well-known classics. (It was also a unique experience as I also came across the worst short story I have ever read and probably will ever read in my life. I had to DNF Tender Buttons midway as I was suspecting an incoming aneurysm.)
Overall a fantastic collection well worth the time and effort to work through.
