I received an audio copy of this in exchange for a fair and honest review.

Obvious, as a picture book, this would be better served by actually reading it. But I think the narrator did a fantastic job bringing this story to life. Fiona had a consistent voice, and the other characters were distinct enough that I could tell them apart. There were a few times I could tell the narrator was reading a sign on the page, and that felt a little jarring considering it was breaking up the story and the flow of narration. Despite this, I'd still recommend this story, and the audio for anyone that prefers or needs it.

This picture book was a perfect Christmas read. And I'm not going to lie, I read it aloud to my pups. It's Fiona's first Christmas and she is strolling through the zoo spreading Christmas cheer and learning about the true meaning of Christmas.

The first thing that sticks out about this book is the artwork. I love how all the zoo animals, especially Fiona, are depicted. There's so much to look at in each and every picture and the coloring and details are wonderful. I love animals of all kinds and knew when I saw this I had to grab it.

This book is a definite must for any animal lover. I am hoping this summer I can make the trek to the Cincinnati Zoo, which isn't that far away, to see Fiona in person.
