(I was expecting more secrets, but will settle with the revealed ones due to the actual intended audience:))
There are numerous items from this text
1. Runs like an interview excerpt, providing information on what secrets where shared by each of Geronimo's family and himself
2. Provides ideas to young readers how interviews are conducted
3. Establishes that if secrets have to be revealed, a single source is not sufficient, while the target should be approached from all angles to completely understand the various perspectives. (For example, Geronimo's cousin Trap was a prankster and a mild bully. So it was helpful to understand the gentle nature of Gernonimo and also assert the fact he still was tolerant towards his family, since the bully was continued even to this day)
4. Love conquers all (Geronimo being adoptive has completely accepted his new family as his own and loves him equally)
