As always, Rae Carson writes fantastic books. Even though I don’t like this one as much as some of her other books, Elisa’s story remains intriguing with very interesting new aspects of magic and fantasy that I haven’t read and other books, while weaving together familiar elements. This is definitely written out to be an ending, and a bit of a happy one at that. I still feel like there’s some thing more. But generally speaking, very good books, really enjoyed them.

I do love this series, but I felt like I didn’t like the resolution (or lack thereof) of some of the plot lines. And things always come a bit too easily to Elisa, which takes away some of the tension of the story. I do love Storm an unreasonable amount upon this reread, which I don’t remember as much from my previous reads.
