Thoroughly enjoyed this story set. Of course some were misses but I loved quite a few. And most of them got me thinking like great science fiction does. Some stories also build off her other worlds which was cool to revisit.

If you’ve ever wanted to find out what Ursula LeGuin is all about, this book - the second part of the Unreal and the Real - is by far the best anthology of hers that I’ve read. Absolutely genius.

god I love funky and weird short stories. and sci-fi that doesn't have misogynistic undertones (or overtones lmao)??? superb. Le Guin is such a unique storyteller, so many of these stories really had my brain going a million miles a minute, and others had me going "aw that's cute."
