Loved it, but it’s too much in the present moment and won’t read with the same urgency five years from now—all the present-tense references that aren’t anchored with a date and all the emphasis on COVID beyond the introduction and conclusion are going to make it too easily dismissed by bad-faith readers, especially those who are reading selectively or by chapter rather than taking the work as a whole.
