Fun fact, I've never watched The X-Files (tv show.) Yet, Kami Garcia does a great job at introducing Fox Mulder without feeling the need to watch the show. He's sixteen in this prequel telling, trying to battle the emotions of moving to a new city aka Washington D.C. during this senior year while struggling with the disappearance of his younger sister. With the help of his friends Phoebe and Gimble, Mulder takes it upon himself to find out what happened when two kids are pronounced missing within a span of two weeks. This would be great for fans of the show as well as high schoolers who believe in life outside of this planet. Easy to read, fast paced work

This was a fun read. There was nothing particularly amazing about the plot or the characters, and I suspect that this book is not canon in any sense, but it's still an interesting look into the characters of the X-Files.
