So this is one of the last library books I borrowed before I left Sydney in 2019, I valiantly tried finishing it before my flight to Perth but didn't manage. All these years later, I finally picked up a copy from the library (inter-library loan) and because it had been 4 years, started it again. I really enjoyed it. I definitely have a different perspective now then when I first started it, largely because I've come into my non-binary identity. I'm glad I finally came back to it. Reading feminist literature is enjoyable and makes me feel nourished.

The history sections were interesting. It is otherwise a 101 book. I was disturbed by some of their citations that acted as if they had a point to prove. For example, in their "creepy" section they quoted a review of a book which vaguely mentioned something about creepiness in men. It seemed to be used as a segue, but obviously has no evidence or otherwise to offer. That and other lax references were sprinkled throughout the book, which really brought down credibility in my eye. I won't recommend it to anyone else.

It felt like reading a textbook that I was genuinely interested in. I love the podcast, and enjoyed the book. A must-read for everyone, with many lessons to learn.

This book by the former hostesses of “Stuff Your Mom Never Told You” have created an amazing book for new feminists as well as old. It’s inclusive, well researched and has great suggestions on how regular women can stand up against the patriarchy. Amazing read and the illustrations are tremendous!

The book has some great content and I think achieves its goal of serving as a feminism field guide. However, things felt a bit scattered at times and some of the infographics were logically inconsistent. I love Cristen and Caroline, but I prefer them more as podcasters than as authors.

I listen to SMNTY and have from the beginning. When these two left, I TOTALLY forgot all about the fact that they started their own podcast until someone came into our bookstore and asked for this book. So, I started listening immediately and soon got the book.

This book reads like Cristen is talking right to you. I love both ladies, but Cristen has a distinct humor and it felt like it really came through here.
