I love that Christian Robinson’s illustrations have a childlike whimsy while also managing to be sophisticated at the same time. Those qualities are especially on display in this wordless picture book where his illustrations do all the heavy lifting and show us just what a brilliant storyteller he truly is.

I absolutely adore wordless picture books because of the wonderful places they lead young imaginations. Christian Robinson’s wonderfully inclusive artwork shows what can exist in a dreamland or parallel dimension. This is a book that is sure to spark endless new stories from your youngster – and lots of conversation between the child and parent.

In this wordless picture book a girl and her cat stumble upon a portal to another dimension. A dimension where kids play with other kids who are the same as they are but slightly different. It’s very well done and certainly opens up discussion for the concept of parallel universes.

This was told entirely by photos and no words and goes on a fun adventure into a world in which a girl and a cat meet another version of themselves. This would be a fun and interactive book to read with young kids & even those who cannot read yet by themselves. Really cute & playful.
