I've watched a ton of Jackson's videos on YouTube, and I don't think I learned anything that hasn't already been covered in his videos. But I did still enjoy the book.

the absolute best part of the book is when he describes people who like both cats and dogs as 'bipetual'

Picked up this book at the beginning of Jess and I's new adventure with Sam and Zoey - our two new cats!
The book offers lots of insight into how to welcome cats into your home and helpful tips scattered throughout. (Sam and Zoey skipped right over the gradual introduction suggested and met each other almost too quickly.)
The biggest takeaway for me is to encourage cats to express their "wild side," ie. play hunting, eating after play, and using lots of vertical space in the home.

After finding a stray cat and taking him in, I got this book from the library after watching a lot of his interviews on how to introduce a new cat into the home. It is INCREDIBLY insightful and i recommend it to all cat owners. We’ve been following the intro process and it’s working well, though slow. It’s also given me better insight into the resident cat I’ve had for a few years and cats I grew up with.

Interesting… but felt like a lot of talk about nothing in particular. Might be useful for introducing two cats to each other.

This does exactly what it says on the cover and then some. Jackson Galaxy is immensely knowledgeable, practical, compassionate, and enriches the book with his signature wit.
I wish I had this earlier in my life with cats. I wish every cat owner would read this. I wish every human would at least consider Galaxy's way to view the animals in our lives, pets or strays.
