Save a horse, ride a lesbian!

Does a little too much for a book that's way too short. Despite this its very fun. Would I reread it? No. But I did have fun!

I absolutely loved Upright Women Wanted, and am looking forward to reading more of Sarah Gailey's works. Post apocalyptic (dystopia in the future? not quite fully explained) queer romance where Librarians are gunslingers delivering information (both legal and illegal).... what more could I ask for? My only qualm with the work is that it is a novella rather than a novel as I desperately wanted to read more about thee characters and the world in which they inhabit.

This book was definitely ambitious and had some really cool ideas. Unfortunately I felt as if the book ended right before it started to get interesting. The story seemed to end before it really begun. While I appreciated the diversity and lgbtq romance and characters, the main romance didn’t really work for me

as I felt there was a bit of a power imbalance 

. I also didn’t think the protagonist was that great and I think her journey to being a fully developed character was cut short. I would definitely read a follow up in this universe (maybe a prequel or sequel) but this wasn’t the strongest start to this universe.
