Among the three books of The Thousandth Floor series, The Towering Sky is my most favorite. There are so many unexpected events that I didn’t see coming. It was an interesting journey to follow the story of the different teenagers who got caught in a web of lies, found who they really are, and chose their own path in life.

Plots a bit slower in this one and the mystery/suspense wasn't as good. I was a bit confused in the beginning because I thought they were going to come together and hash everything out, but they didn't. It felt like they should've just communicated with each other more.

This was a decent conclusion to the series; some of the twists were predictable - like it felt inevitable that certain characters would get back together.

3.5 stars, rounded up.

For me, Avery's story was a bit stale for most of this installment of the trilogy. Calliope went down a fairly dull path as well. Rylin, Leda, and Watt only just managed to hold things together until the last hundred pages when the plot pace picked up and the characters shone again.

*****SPOILER BELOW******

I would have really liked to see Rylin shuck off the half-baked boys who were defining her and head into the future solo. Other than that, the only off-putting thing in the series for me was the propagating of the 'bury your gays' trope.

I was loving this series but this book just didn’t do it for me. It felt like it dragged and any character development from the first two books seemed to be completely wiped out. Not the worst but define doesn’t compare with the first two books in the series.

This series is so incredibly amazing for a fun escape full of drama! Katharine McGee has an incredible ability to weave stories of the many characters to together, intertwining their unique perspectives to create a great story. And yet, even with so many main characters and perspectives, I did not ever feel that any one of them was underdeveloped or less important or left behind. Each and every one was well thought out and played a crucial role, as did the rest of this well thought out book. While the ending was less shocking than the first two books, it was still very dramatic and entertaining. This made the start with the end and work back up to it thing that has been in all three books less impactful than the previous ones. There were a lot of love triangles in this book, which many people don’t like, but I personally did like. I struggled the whole time to pick which person I was rooting for, since there was not an obvious choice or a clear favorite. I truly enjoyed all of the perspectives, but if I had to pick I would say Calliope or Avery are my favorite and Rylin was my least favorite. Other than the necessity of the inner thoughts of the characters that would be difficult to portray, I would say that these dramas filled books of unique characters would make a fantastic highly-grossing TV show.

this was a great end to the series- i feel like the story wrapped up nicely while still having a loose end (that does not feel like it needs to be wrapped up)
again, this trilogy is great on audio because they’re just rich futuristic teenage drama that is a little unhinged and crazy at times
am i going to think about these characters constantly, no but i still had fun and would recommend for anyone looking for a fun read 👍👍
