This is the fifth book in the series and is slightly different to the others. This book is a friends-to-lovers story and brings together Aldrich and Nobel. Aldrich is seriously injured and the permanent nature of his injuries means that he cannot play professional hockey again.

It is lovely to see the positive outlook that Aldrich, supported by Nobel, has on his life. The story could have focused on Aldrich's inability to play hockey but focused more on his overcoming a broken heart and learning to trust again.

3.5 stars

3.5. This is another short story with lots packed in. The ony hockey is right at the start, and its the scene of Aldrich's horrific head injury. The rest of the story starts 3months later so we miss a lot of his recovery but take up once he's out of hospital and reconnecting with his buddy Nobel. Again, an easy read and too much away from the hockey for me but enjoyable all the same.

Yet another lovely Hockey story. I do have to be honest and say that it seems so unrealistic that there could be so many gay hockey players on one team or in one vicinity but that very well could just be my assumption since there aren't any out professional hockey players now. That said, I wish there were because DAMN that is hot. :-)
Really enjoyed Nobel and Aldrich. I love a good Friends to Lovers story.
