Baby. Honey. Sweat Pea. Baby. Yes honey. My woman. My man. Her man. His woman.
Every damn character talked the same. Nothing unique about the vernacular, nothing unique in their phonetic identity. Every person whether they are born and raised in high society Connecticut or born and raised in biker small town Tennessee talked the exact same. Thought the exact same. And don’t get me start on the juvenile conversations each character had. I would rather bang my head against the wall then read this again.
Also, the entire plot line and therapeutic progress the main character made seemed disingenuous to her journey or the actions she took later in the book. If you don’t want to write a deep book, fine, at least write one that makes sense and follows her journey.

The small town, the main characters, the friends and the townsfolk in the pages of a book all from the mind of Jessica Prince. Each town is different as are the people but you always know it's going to be an amazing experience and Bad Alibi was all those things.
I adored Farah and I was definitely hit with the Cannon effect. I laughed, I swooned, I shed some tears all while falling in love with a whole new town with people that I can't wait to read more about

We met Cannon Banks in Sage and Xander’s Hope Valley book. He is a player and loved in the town, but Farah isn’t interested.
A great start to the town of Redemption series. There is come content that is a trigger, sexual assault of the h. I don’t think the recovery was really true as she had no issues with having sex with the H, but everyone heals differently.
I love a good reformed “manwhore”, but I thought Cannon could have been less of an asshole to Farah at times.
Overall, I liked the book. There were parts that I cringed, but I do like the characters that the world that Jessica Prince created. I look forward to the rest of the series.

No tropes I don’t enjoy and it was pretty good.
Rich city girl moves to a small town in Tennessee and meets a womanizing mechanic, Cannon. Definitely some insta attraction. The FMC has some trauma and a cheating ex to overcome.
The suspense aspect was lacking for me and I think there should’ve been more of Cannon’s POV.

I anxiously waited for Cannon's story after we met him in Hope Valley, and it was SO worth the wait! When Farah thought "And just like that, I swooned", so did I! Farah went through a life altering experience and was able to break away from her horrible parents and their ridiculous lifestyle. In finding Cannon, she found her home. I couldn't love them more, and I cannot WAIT for the next book!!

This was a good read! The writing flowed well, and I liked Cannon and Farrah together for the most part. I know Farrah has issues because of the things she went through, but that still didn't mean that she had to treat Cannon how she did at first. Then she got mad at him for being mad about it! She did get better after that, but I wish she would have confided in Cannon about her past. Cannon was a good guy, and an alpha all the way. They made a great couple, even after everything is out in the open. I was happy to see Farrah get to stand up for herself, and get the justice she deserved. I loved seeing the other guys mentioned in the Hope Valley Series. Bev was a great secondary charcter too! I can't wait to see how Poppy and Shane end up. Great start to a new series.
I voluntarily reviewed an advanced readers copy of this book.

After being introduced to her Hope Valley series, I have realized that Jessica Prince is a queen in the small town romance genre- and now she has started what I must say is another successful small town series. So yay!!
Bad Alibi is a spin-off of Hope Valley; Cannon is the ex-boyfriend of Sage (from Out of the Darkness). Farah moves to the little town of Redemption, Tennessee when she needs to escape her family. These two do not seem to be a likely couple, but their chemistry is off-the-charts, and instant! I fell in love with Farah's giving heart, and Cannon's protectiveness.
I can't wait for more in the Redemption series, and more from Jessica Prince!

Loved it
So, so happy to read Cannon’s story. I was curious about him when he was introduced in Sage and Xander’s story. He’s one of my favorite book boyfriends ever. Alpha male but a total softy for his lady. I loved Farrah too. She is so strong and courageous. This book does have some triggering content in it, so beware.
