This is a book meant for a younger reader - a more advanced chapter book. I liked the story and the exploration of grief intended to guide the story, but I didn't like the fact that Sophia seemed to just serve as a love interest to Ryan. I wish that she stood more on her own and that the end of the story doesn't end with the two protagonists becoming each other's love interests.
