I loved the first book and gave it 5 stars.
I still loved the sequel but I did feel disappointed at the end and I felt the pacing was really off.
When we finally get to thee main quest of the book we only have 100 pages left which I already thought with how mush was teasers on would be really tight. Then a lot of things go wrong which makes it all take longer and makes the time frame even tighter.
The last 50 pages felt so rushed, there were time jumps from one scene to another without much explanation what happened in between. There was a whole resolving conversation between Kavita and Riya that happened off page which I felt we needed to see. The action scenes happen too fast with too little descriptions what was even happening.
At the end I was also really disappointed about how unresolved the romances were left off. I loved the dynamic between Lukas and Kaleb and we barely get any resolution of them at the end.
Riya and Varun did work but it still felt rushed at the end.
Vira and Amrit was completly unresolved which was so sad and missed potential.
Overall I think this book needed either more pages or some content cut.
