I wanted to read this book about Alice in Blazing academy ever since i read the first teaser last year. I am so happy i finally did. She is strong, funny and the interaction with the guys had me laughing so lound my dog got annoyed with me and started barking. I cant give this story enough stars, i loved it -blazing Alice was worth the wait.

So after reading SSS academy Series while waiting for the seventh book to come out in November I knew I had to read another series by this author. I chose the series and was pleasantly surprised, although at the same time a little disappointing to say the least. I only say disappointed because of the certain aspects of the book that almost are parallel to the prior series that I had finished, while at the same time I say intrigued and pleasantly surprised due to the fact that I almost believe the two series are meant to be or will be connected at some point.
This book is a little less romance but a little more fantasy it’s more made for young adults versus adults looking for a RH series. I am now in book 3 of the series and there has had to be any “steamy “sexually explicit scenes, We’re in the SSS series there was many throughout the entire six books that I read it so it’s less of a reverse harem Buck and more a young adult in my opinion. However, the entire series that’s far has been very well written and intriguing especially for a female character heroin with multiple male companions. I would definitely suggest this book to anyone series that they finish especially if you want something fresh and new, however I would suggest that you read the SSS Academy series 1st before reading this.

Oh my!! Wow!!

I've read a lot of Avery Song's books and have seen teasers for this book. I knew it was going to be great along with all of her books. But wow did this book surpass my expectations! I am in 100% love it it!
Alice was amazing and relatable! Westley, Gabriel, and Keru were amazing men that had their own depth and draw to them. As always my nosy nature wishes there was just a bit more to the classroom and learning part of the book. But as always Avery Song does an amazing job of writing a story so well that doesnt even matter! I cannot wait for the next book!

Blazing Academy Review

I knew from the teasers Avery had in some of her other books that I would love Alice's story and I was right! I absolutely LOVED Alice, and of course, Westley, Keru, and Gabriel!! I can not wait to read how much Alice and her men will grow throughout this series and how they will fit into the prophecy.

Blazing Academy: Semester One (Academy for All Things Scorching) is Avery Song's newest book in her newest series. Meet Alice. She starts out living with her dad in this book, but her dad has a bit of a problem that pushes him to drink and he's deemed unfit to care for her so she's sent to live with her grandparents. Alice isn't normal, but her grandmother especially pushes her to be just that. The thing is...the clock is ticking for Alice and a seal that has been placed on her is breaking and it's only a matter of time before it does and unleashes the powers locked inside her. Sounds interesting right? Well...dive in!
When I first started reading this book I was excited. Then I developed mix feelings about the storyline and Alice and then the author sucked me all the way in and down the rabbit hole. I was honestly disappointed that Alice didn't have a good relationship with her grandmother in the beginning. I was initially like...this is whom you are living with, who has been taking care of you and you act like you really don't appreciate it or her. Now, yes, there is more than meets the eye but that comes later so I just went with my first impressions concerning the situation. I love the different characters and how the author reveals their true identities. It totally hooks me in because it's a unique twist that you really don't expect but I love how unique each of them truly is.
Now for those who find bullying upsetting...beware because there is a healthy dose of that in this book. I have to say that Alice had moments of where she really annoyed me. The name-calling bit between herself and another character that she meets...just a bit too childish for me. She's just turned 16 but in that bit, I couldn't help but view her more as an 8-year-old having a snit fit. Granted the other character was just as wrong, but as she is the focal point of the story that is where my attention focused on and got drawn to the most.
I am rating this book 4.5 out of 5 stars. Honestly, the book is well done and once I got past the immaturity of some of the characters the book becomes hard to put down. The author builds and weaves in so many unique elements. I will admit that there are quite a few familiar pieces that will stand out from previous books, but if you enjoy this author's writing and previous books then I'm sure that you will enjoy this book as well. I'm eager to see where things go next from here.
