This is a different kind of Agatha Christie book for me. The end may feel like it comes out of left field but Agatha is so good at using the Chekhov's gun principle that actually every thing is right there "hanging on the wall at the start." If you will. Its an enjoyable read, with good character. One thing I have notices is that she really liked paring off couples at the end of her books, nine times out of ten there is an engagement or even a marriage at the end of her books. Not really a complaint just an observation.

Short stories, some good some great

I found this collection to be a little hit or miss, but the ones that hit...good stuff.
Unfortunately, there's lots of internalized misogyny that somehow make it externally and plenty of casual racism so do keep that in mind.
Those last two stories, though...*chef's kiss*

There are three kinds of lies: lies, damned lies, and statistics! Mr Parker Pyne deals in the latter.
