Bill Bryson consistently brings dry subject matter to life for those of us just looking for some general knowledge. The Body is interesting, humorous and engaging through most of the chapters. I did feel like the last couple of chapters got a bit stale in places and overstuffed with factoids. But overall I enjoyed this book I would rate as a 3.75. I learned a lot of history and changing science I did t know. Bryson also reads the audio which worked well for my commute.

Arricchente.

This was a GREAT BOOK! I found it fascinating to learn about different body systems, as well as stories of scientists and people who have made an impact in our understanding of the body.

I listened to the author read this on audiobook. He did a fine job, but maybe I would have preferred reading it? I'm not sure. It's definitely a summary view of the body, but included some interesting history on various medicines, surgeries, etc. as well as some bizarre stories. Overall, interesting and entertaining (as Bryson always is).
