Short and not very in depth, but it does provide some relatable examples.

It's probably a good introduction for people who don't know much about how autism presents in adults. Something feels off about this book though. I am autistic myself and I can't quite explain why it feels off.

It seems odd to me that the author doesn't consider autism as a disability when for some of us, it very much is. Disability isn't a bad word. And saying it's isn't a disability invisibilises the very real struggles we face.

This book is a nice introduction on autism in adults for mostly non-autistic people I would say. It is short and easy to understand, so accessible for friends or family of an autistic person. Very often people tend to forget that autistic kids do grow up into autistic adults and our troubles do not magically disappear, in some cases they might even get worse.

If like me, you are an autistic adult, and you're looking for a book that will help you manage some of the issues you might encounter in your daily life because of being an autistic adult, then this is not the book for you. But if you'd like to recommend it to someone, so they can begin to understand you better, I think it can be a good start.

also helped with my vwa!:) even though it is extremely informative it was sometimes just too much, i liked the critical thinking in this book, sometimes though it became really difficult to read because the writing is a bit odd, also some aspects in the book are very fascinating and i would have not connected them with autism but some were a bit far fetched in my opinion.

Quiet short read, but ultimately didn’t tell me anything a quick Google hadn’t already told me.

This book is a lovely and non-judgemental look at autism and how it presents in the adult population. Loved it.
