I think i prefered this book over the first twilight… I really liked the characters. Edythe was similar to Edward but no quite just like Beau vs Bella
I also liked how Archie’s visions were better explained. Some things were better written.
It didn’t deserve a five star because it is still twilight so it is still cringe but oh well. Meyer did a really good job. She made her point : it a story about a human and a vampire, not a girl and a vampire.
and the end… wow. Following Beau through is transformation was really different. It was beautiful how Meyer mixed love, sadness and grief. I felt so sad for Beau during his funeral but at the same time so happy that they have found themselves for “eternity”. I kinda wish there were more books following this storyline.

Even though I loved Twilight, this book just wasn’t as good.
I didn’t care about any of the characters that much. Bella was relatable, but Beau was kind of boring. I felt that some of the characters didn’t really fit as the opposite gender.
Also, the plot changes to the end of the story made me not like it as much. I’m glad that the original story played out differently. I felt bad for Charlie and Rene for how the story ended.
Overall, it was just okay. I don’t think this story was necessary or that it added any value to the world of Twilight.
