Who doesn't love some historical fiction written by Leo Tolstoy at the end of his life?

I'm not going to critique Tolstoy or the Russian language translators, but boy, this edition by ebooks Adelaide could sure use an editor. I would certainly recommend a different edition.

"Semua orang menyukai adatnya sendiri."
--pg.184

Hadji Murat chronicles the life of the eponymous hero who came to personify the resistance of the Caucasus to Russian imperialism. The work was published posthumously and reflects an anger and disillusionment with Czarism that perhaps explains why Tolstoy chose not to make the manuscript public.

Good read in general.
