Too short. I would have rated it higher if it was long enough to hold my attention! It did have significant violence but not much else.

It wasn't anything wrong with the writing. I guess that even the glimpse into the thoughts and actions of the serial killers were interesting. But like. I was too spooked out about it, so in a way Crouch succeeded. He weirded me out enough that I gave the book a 1 star. And maybe I'll check out the first book of the series this prequel belongs too - what will happen to Lucy? I am a bit intrigued and interested to find out, still.
