I only decided to give this a try because my mother in law looks exactly like the main character here and is in fact a lunch lady. Haha will have to ask her if her job is actually this exciting. LOL But seriously this was a really quick and fun read, will be reading the next one. The pun lines are sometimes too much, but they are funny and I bet kids enjoy this book a lot.

This was very funny. It is very relatable for kids who probably wonder what their teachers or lunch ladies do outside of school. It is a good one for those kids who are working to read longer books but still enjoy the pictures.

I can't believe I hadn't read this one. Whew! I have corrected that oversight. Great start to the Lunch Lady series.

I'm a little late to the graphic novel party, but I'm glad I was finally introduced to this series!
Lunch Lady is an undercover super hero... what a disguise, who would think the lunch lady would be bringing criminals to justice?? With the other... ummm older lunch lady... as her sidekick!
In this first book, Lunch Lady needs to figure out who this new substitute is because he's looking a little suspicious!
Kids will love this graphic novel series. It's the perfect length for younger readers and the plot doesn't get lost in this type of format. I'm quickly getting to the rest of the books in this series!

The first in the Lunch Lady series, this one is GREAT! Reluctant readers, graphic novel fans, boys and girls (of all ages) will enjoy this. What's not to love? A lunch lady who secretly fights crime, using such gadgets as a helicopter spatula, spork communicator, and chicken nugget bombs? Robots posing as substitute teachers? A not-so-witty bully (and his sychophantic sidekick) who is put in his place? ALL good.
