Lovely snippet of Kate, I've missed her and great to see Allie! More to come with the duo? I hope so!

This was a fun short story, and made me miss the world of this series. The monster was strange and different than the regular demons we've seen in the series so far but it makes me want to start the next one!

It is a nice short read. The story is set between the 4th and 5th Kate Connor book. For "newbies" it is understandable and the basic demon hunting rules are shortly laid out. However, you already get to know a couple things from Kate's personal life you're not supposed to know if you haven't read the first (or first 4) book(s) yet.
The short story is a mix of first person narration by Kate and her daughter Allie. I found it interesting to read Allie's point of view for a change - though I still like Kate more. ;)

Short but really good

Short but really good

Loved this short story. A soccer mom that hunts demons. This short story was mostly about her 14 year old daughter going on a date and ending getting into trouble of the demon variety. We see the relationship mother and daughter have, I liked that. The daughter is in training and ends up helping her mom with the demon. The story was funny in some parts. Authors writing style is really good and the story keeps your attention the whole time.
