I’ve never been so confused by a book while simultaneously enjoying it.

*read part physical and part audiobook off Audible the 2022 updated version*

This took me way too long to finish, I think because the audiobook I had a hard time listening to and concentrating.

However - READING - the book was another story entirely and it was so much better.
Where have these books been all my life? Like I just found out about them this year.
What a perfect series to introduce people to the Fantasy Genre, especially if they think things like LOTR are overwhelming (The Hobbit and HP are still good even if HP is problematic but NOT THE POINT).

Twoflower is adorbs! And this Luggage!!!

Rincewind just - he's not whiny but like.... I feel him on an emotional level.
Like he doesn't really want to be there but he is because why not? Like nothing else is going on.
He reminds me a lot of Newt Scamander from the Fantastic Beasts movies - not in personality but just like he's got no business being there but he's along for the ride and all these things are happening and he's...mostly powerless to really do anything about it.

The book was basically an anthology following these two characters which I wasn't expecting but happily enjoyed.
The scene jumping definitely gave me whiplash but as I am reading this in chronological order I know the author gets better overtime. Plus I LOVED Good Omens so I mean :P

Will definitely be reading more but damn these Library Collection Copies are EXPENSIVEEEE.

Short and Sweet Fantasy reads that I highly recommend!
