that was disappointing.
i was excited to read riley sager's books cuz one of my fav youtubers loves him but riley sager hasnt impressed me yet. this was my second book by him and it was worse than the first one. i find his plots quite interesting and looking at some reviews i try to keep my expectations at the lowest and stilk get disappointed 😭
this plot had potential and they ruined it. it was so annoying that the first 25% equals the first hour of the ride where charlie and josh get so close she realises he might be the campus killer and then they drag out another house of the night for the next 60%. that was the most annoying bit for me. not to mention the real killer was revealed so abruptly out of the blue and his motives were just baseless??? i wanted to rate it at least 3.5 but when i got to know his motives for the killings i was disappointed further 🫡
now would i still reqd riley sager? yes and thats solely because his plots are interesting and just like a desperate ex i still believe i could find potential in one of his books lol

While this book had a slow start, it definitely did not disappoint!! I did not see the twist coming, and the very end was also a good little “twist”

I really hated the female mc with a mental illness who can't even trust herself trope.
