interesting plot

Good story with steady, sometimes tense, pacing. Modest character development, but the characters are interesting. Overall I enjoyed the book.

I got this book through a bookfunnel giveaway and then it sat for a while before I got around to reading it. So I had no idea what it was about initially.

The plot is good though and I was pulled in quickly and stayed hooked. There are a number of times when I'd have liked more world building and explanation.
A giant hurricane throws Philadelphia into chaos but what happened to the rest of the world we dont know. There's still a ton of technology though that I'm not always sure how it's powered. The motorcycles sometimes appeared to be electric bikes but then not, it's really not clear.
Aside from that though the characters were believable and the different view points add tension.
The level of intrigue is good and I was kept guessing what was going on and how it was going to end.
I have a ton of questions still that will lead me to the second book I guess.

It was a solid and enjoyable read.
3.5 stars for confusing world building.
