Secondo libro che leggo della Fallaci. Un opera che senza dubbio invita il lettore a riflettere sui sistemi politici che governano le nostre vite quotidiane, ma che racconta anche la storia di un uomo che voleva fare qualcosa al riguardo.

Ogni volta che lo rileggo è una pugnalata allo stomaco. Potente e magnetico, scritto divinamente racconta una storia in cui c’è tutto: amore, dolore, idealismo, realismo, cattiveria, allegria.
Senza alcun dubbio uno dei miei libri preferiti di sempre e per sempre.

This is an incredibly complex book and quite difficult to review actually.

The first part of the story is engrossing, depicting the time spent in prison and the tortures suffered. The second part becomes the love story and is a complicated relationship between a unique man and Fallaci. It’s not an easy relationship and perhaps doomed to fail.

It’s incredibly well-written, with some beautiful (and graphic) passages. Complicated and compelling. It did drag a little towards the end. But I can only imagine the pure feelings that Fallaci must have gone through to write this book.

Sicuramente un capolavoro ma alcune parti erano prettamente di “politica” e non capendole totalmente le ho trovate pesanti
