A seamlessly woven tale of a war-torn family’s loss, of an abiding love of family and of home passed down through the generations. The reader will find heart-racing suspense and intrigue as they follow the descendants in their quest to delve through the past and find hope for their future. Fantastic read!

I received an ARC from NetGalley in exchange for my honest review.

The beginning of the book completely hooked me. I was so vested in the Lang siblings' escape, I was almost sorry to leave them behind for the modern story.

We have several heirs who know nothing of each other. And the big question for me was if they would figure out how to regain possession of Falcon Point, their ancestral estate.

I liked how Anna worked as the lead point of view in the story. She anchored me to know what was happening with the house. As she figured out clues, I was crossing my fingers for her. But time wasn't a luxury she had to fiddle with. - not when so much money was on the line. The stakes kept getting worse and worse for the heirs - something I love to see happen.

It's amazing that four authors could work together to create such a seamless novel.
This was such an enjoyable read! I highly recommend it for lovers of mystery, suspense, family saga stories, romance, and WWII buffs. And if you're Austrian - it's automatically on your TBR pile!

When I saw this book was written by several different authors I assumed it was a compilation of short stories. Remember, I don’t ever read descriptions. I was pleasantly surprised to find that wasn’t the case with this book. I’m not sure how these authors came together to write such a cohesive piece but they’ve done it! And it’s so good!! I couldn’t stop reading. I kept me intrigued the entire time.

I really liked the characters, the fast pace and how the different generations of families intertwined. I actually read this in the wrong order - I read the sequel first - it was a solid stand alone, definitely makes more sense now that I’ve finished this book!

…sometimes courage wasn’t about fighting. Sometimes courage was about letting go of what was most wanted for oneself and, instead, fulfilling one’s duty.

This was a spectacular story! I can’t stress enough how good it was, well planned, well written, seamless transitions from each writer and pov. It was fast paced, full of action, mystery, suspense, and intrigue. The cast of characters, past and present, good and bad, were dynamic and interesting. The multiple budding romances were an excellent added bonus. So many wonderful elements blended together for a truly remarkable read.

Heirs of Falcon Point is the story of Lang family and their journey in discovering lost/unknown family relations, the ancestral home, and the danger and schemes that altered their grandparents’, and subsequently, their lives forever. The book begins with Leopold Lang and his three children attempting to leave their homeland before Leopold is forced into serve for the Nazis. But when their father is murdered, the children make a harrowing escape and are separated with the hopes of being reunited soon in London. Fast forward to present day and three converging storylines of the Lang heirs who have no idea one another exist.

The Lang family has found their way deep into my heart. From the past to the present, their story is one of courage and survival and family above all else. My only complaint is that the book ended too soon, but that isn’t really a valid complaint since I know we have had a previous release and two coming releases that will further endear them to me. Now on to Karl Lang and the Codes of Courage. I’m hoping my heart will survive inevitable conclusion.

4.5 ⭐️s rounded up. This was well rounded and had some great mystery and suspense. While there were a lot of characters, they were all compartmentalized well and I didn’t have trouble keeping up with them at all.

I enjoyed the cross over with the different family members and the slow unfolding of the mystery and suspense as well as the bits of romance tucked in. It had me wanting to keep reading to find out what was next. The different authors blended their characters together well and I enjoyed it a lot.

I was asked to be apart of a release for a future book in this series and I wanted to catch up with the start of the stories! (Though I heard you don’t HAVE to read this first, I wanted to though).

ANYWAYS. Y’all, I really enjoyed this. All of these authors truly came together and created a cohesive story that flowed well and got my heart rate up a bit. I loved seeing the whole cast of characters come together to get back what was rightfully there’s.

I do wish there had been a little more depth to the relationships. There were three small plot romances that I loved, but wanted to see a little more of them. I did like all of the characters and how each had a unique background that I think will show up in future books.

Overall audience notes:
- Historical Suspense
- Romance: kisses
- Violence: high
- Trigger/Content Warnings: murder, gun violence, knife violence, loss of life, attempted murder

Heirs of Falcon Point is a fantastic romantic suspense collaboration with authors A.L. Sowards, Paige Edwards, Sian Bessey, and Traci Hunter Abramson.

The story begins in Austria at the beginning of WWII. We get to know the Lang family and the challenges that led to them flee their home. The rest of the story follows the descendants of the Lang children who were separated while escaping Austria. We get to see them search out their heritage, pursue rumors of a hidden treasure, and find their lost family members. And of course we get to see the love stories that come about along the way.

I loved seeing each of the grandchildren bring a crucial piece of the puzzle into the mystery. They could not have solved it without each other and I loved seeing them work together to discover their shared heritage. I loved the diversity of the grandchildren. Some were raised in England, others in the Netherlands, and others in America. It’s amazing how they are all so different and yet so similar.

I also loved that the villain of the contemporary plot line was the descendant of the villain in the historical plot line! It helped make the story feel continuous and seamless despite spanning multiple generations.

Despite the large cast of characters, it was fairly easy to keep track of everyone and their unique romantic stories. I loved all the overlap and seeing everything come together! I loved the dramatic irony, and seeing how close the characters were to uncovering the truth, and how they needed all the characters to be able to piece together the full picture.

Overall this was a fantastic story! I absolutely loved it! I loved the balance of history, suspense, and romance. I loved the cast of characters and the feeling of family and heritage. I loved seeing all the pieces of the puzzle fall together to find the long lost treasure. Both the treasure hidden away during the war, and the treasure of family.

If you enjoy romantic suspense, historical and contemporary stories, family history, and WWII stories, you should definitely read Heirs of Falcon Point!
