this one bothered me because it just felt very out of character for annabelle to not only be the one to suggest running away after her family presented her with a very reasonable argument for why leaving tilly alone was a good idea, but that she also did it with very little thought as to what her plan was. her whole thing the entire series is that she’s terrified of their secret getting out and ruining everything for dollkind and yet she’s willing to unwrap that package and make the palmers suspicious and even worse, run away without knowing how to get back, effectively ruining everything for everyone else. it just didn’t track for me, so i kept getting annoyed every time she did something that prolonged her time away from the house. this is still a great kids book and the illustrations remain top notch, but annabelle really pissed me off with her dumb decisions and tilly was annoying.

Really cute. This is the third book in a series that i loved growing up, and I didn't realize there was a third one. This is actually maybe my least favorite of the three, because I love the first one so much, but they're all up there. It's about a porcelain, vintage doll named Annabelle and her family, as well as a newer, plastic doll named Tiffany and her family. In this book, they get lost from their family and have to get back. It's super cute and GREAT for upper elementary that are ahead in their reading levels but shouldn't be reading young adult books just yet because of the content.

My daughter introduced me to this series. I like the idea that the dolls move around and have lives outside of their human "owners." The illustrations are also interesting, especially the pages that emphasize the dollhouse. Juliette is interested in continuing this series and has given the book 5 stars :)

I'm not quite sure what it is about these, but I really enjoy this goofy little series.
