Bearly Burning is sad and hopeful at the same time. A story of an abused woman running away with her daughter, who runs into the one man who can make her whole again. If she will give him the chance. Lovely story that warms your heart.

Bear Unbound is a shifter story with a little different mythology. I like that the overall theme of shifters vs Guild is and will be continued in at least one more book. These shifters are serious, and tough, and also gorgeous. I also like that it is a second chance love story between Amber and Tyler. Amber has been put down by her husband, but after she leaves him and gets with Tyler he helps her get back to the college girl he once knew. I also like Kassandra the empath, she is almost as good as Jerri Wilder.

The Write Bear is a fated mate story, but this bear doesn't want to find his mate. Hudson is smart and an excellent writer, but he's a little selfish. Riley wants to do a good job for a big client. Then she meets Hudson, the attraction is epic. But, can she convince him to let her stay around? Good story!

Bear King of Emerald City is another fated mate story. This polar bear finds out you find your mate when you're not looking. But, a wackadoodle panther shifter wants Kingston for her own. Kingston has good intentions for Grace, but this hater is determined. Will Grace accept Kingston and his bear? Will Ashley catch up to Grace first?

Art of Cunning centers around fox shifters which is something new for me. The mythology is a little different, although they still have the fated mates. I really like the character of Alex, I don't like that she cows to her boss Matthew, but I have a feeling he will get his. I'm not sure I even like Ryan at the end of this book, but their claiming scene was scorching hot! Then don't get me started on the cliffhanger. Book 2 can't be downloaded fast enough.

I received this set for an honest review.

A great boxed set, whether it's a return to favourite authors or an introduction to others that you might want to follow up on.
There's a shifter here for everyone. Sexy, funny and plenty of drama and action.
Some stories I liked better than others and there's a few authors I may stalk and see what else they have written.
Each author brought their own unique style into this set and I highly recommend it.

Great Collection of assorted shifters stories!!! So far my favourites are:

Bear Unbound by Cara Wylde

Amber, who popped up briefly in the introductory book is back. She is married to Stephan Castell, who is a misogynistic, cheating scumbag. She finally gets up the gumption to leave him and flees to New York with their daughter Ava. She is staying with Rebecca and Emil (from book 1) whilst she figures out what to do. Becca takes Amber to see Kassandra who reminds her that she is not alone in New York, she does a forgotten friend.

Enter Tyler. All around nice guy and bear shifter. He lost touch with Amber when she announced her engagement to said scumbag but he always felt he should have declared his love for her and just what he knew about Castell activities. But now he has a second chance with Amber when she gets in contact and the leap into an adventure and romance. But will he be able to protect Amber and Ava from the reach of the Castells? Will they find out why Amber keeps having weird symptoms? Will the Order of the Severin finally expand with the addition of some other shifter allies?

I really enjoyed Rebecca and Emils story so was looking forward to this and wan't disappointed. I did wish for a bit more backstory between Tyler and Amber, maybe as a prologue but other than that the story itself was great. The pace is fast and the characters are lovable. Ambers character was very believable as an emotionally abused wife! Hopefully the next book in the Shift Your Fate series will allow us to see who things develop between the characters we have so far met and new characters.

Bearly Burning (Blackrock Bears 2)-by Alana Hart & Michaela Wright

Josephine is on the run to Canada with her daughter Rory to escape her psychotic, manipulative ex. But when trying to seek safety at a local inn, she literally crashes into the night and is trapped in their car. Kirk, a local bear shifter comes across the wreck and saves them and as a foster parent begins to care for Rory whilst Joe recuperates in hospital.

When Joe awakes from her coma and tries to use her hard won new identity, no-one seems to be sure why she's pretending to be someone called Theresa, she doesn't even remember to acknowledge people when they use her nom-de-plume!!! But when she returns to Kirks home and slowly settles into small town life, she wonders if she and Rory could have found a safe haven.

But when danger lurks nearby will Joe and Rory find a new family and protection or will they run from this rather larger than life shifter family?

Great read and I really enjoyed the 1st book in the series so I had high hopes for this book. I was mightily impressed by how the abuse storyline was handled and it was nice to see a man being a successful foster parent, not many people would understand that a man is perfectly capable of being a foster parent whilst single, it is still seen a primarily female or couples role. Gimme more pls!
