Great insight into the effects on a family of a soldier's brain injury. Told from the girl's perspective.

Very well-written, but definitely a Message book, one that I could see appearing on any number of bibliotheraphy lists. And I guess that's why I didn't really warm to it, because I wanted more story and less message.

Beautiful book on a tough topic. Keller's writing seems almost too clear at first, but her use of metaphor and descriptive language tug at you. She knows the subject matter well. Tough read, but a good read.
