This was a quick, easy read. The basic romance story of girl takes time off from her job in the big city to head home to deal with an issue then runs into someone that she used to know and they help each other tackle the issue. As always after things are going good someone messes up and the other gets upset and they take a step back but something is said and they have to run back to the person and they make up and live happy ever after. So basically a cute Hallmark read. Lol

I went into reading this with no expectations whatsoever. I was in the mood for a book that wasn't too heavy and one I could read in between a series/companion novel. But wow was I surprised about how much I liked it!!
First of all while this did have romance sprinkled all over it, the book is mostly about navigating grief. I thought that Aly was suuuper realistic and relatable in the way that she deals with grief and navigates herself through it. The unexpected (but expected for the reader) romance she has with her brother's best friend was really sweet because you just knew that they weren't reeeally enemies. The forced proximity could neverrr keep them apart haha.
There were moments where I felt complete heartbreak and joy but also where I felt like I needed to defend both Aly and Wyatt - the author did such a great job in the building of characters and their personalities!!
I'd recommend this to anyone looking for an in-between book, loves a good brother's best friend trope, forced proximity or is not in the mood for a completely light-hearted, fluffy romance.

Yet another enemies to lovers story! Aly & Wyatt are tasked with sharing the house left to them by Luke (Aly's brother and Wyatt's best friend) after his death. It's fun, heartbreaking, and beautiful.

Good For You was my Amazon First Reads book for February, but as happens many times, I didn’t get a chance to read it right away. The good thing about First Reads books that you’ve “bought” for free is that adding the Audible narration usually only costs $1.99 and you receive it on the first day of the following month, when the book is released to the general public. That’s what I did for this selection.
Trigger warning: there’s talk of childhood abuse and the author even mentions it in the forward.
Of course, this is sort of an enemies-to-lovers trope, or maybe friends-to-lovers because they knew each other before Aly’s brother died. The journey there is filled with all sorts of emotions, and the unexpected ending was a pleasant surprise. I’d read this author’s work again.

Following a mishap at her job, the main character Aly decides to spend some time in her late brother, Luke's house. But upon arrival she is shocked to find out that she will be sharing the space with her brother's best friend, Wyatt. Ultimately shocked, Aly has to learn to live with Wyatt, but is there a reason they've both ended up in the same place at the same time?
This book was a sweet quick read that I devoured in one sitting. With themes of grief, loss, and love, this book hit all the right places, making me 'aw' and also tear up many times.
I felt as though the characters were quite likeable (sometimes they were a little irritating, but hey, what can you do) and had depth to them.
Watching the character development and also the connection between the two main characters grow was great and I felt like I was silently cheering them on throughout the book.
Camille Pagán knows how to write. The way she uses words to tell the story is what kept me going. There is something about the way she writes that drew me in.
Not my favourite read, but definitely one to recommend for a light read!

I related to this book in more ways than one! From childhood trauma to losing a sibling tragically to finding myself. It was a fast read and I really enjoyed it.

I enjoyed the story, but I wish there was a little more at the end so we know what Aly ends up doing. But I think it told a good story about life, love, and family trauma.
