This is the first book in the series that I have read and it works well as a sand alone however I do really want to read the others now lol I loved how Pascal wasn't so sure about Jess when he first met her but in order to finally get the arms dealer he has been after for years they team up and Jess shows him you most definitely do not judge a book by it's cover.
There is the perfect mix of danger, attraction, bad guys and innocence, twist and suspense as Pascal and Jess try to out wit not only Fortuna but also others around them while staying alive.
