The story follows Belly, who - along with her mother, Laurel, and brother, Steven - are spending the summer at the house of their family friend Susannah, along with her son’s, Conrad, and Jeremiah. They’ve been spending summers here, together, every year since before Belly was born. This year, Belly feels prettier, more mature, she starts going out and hanging out with boys. But her heart will always belong to that one boy in that summer house. I love Belly, she will always be my favourite, and I was really disappointed in Taylor in the book. I recommend this book because I read and watched the To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before series first, and I adored it, so I couldn’t wait to read this series. I got all three books and they’ve been sat on my bookshelf waiting to be read, then the show came out and I couldn’t help myself. I watched it and wow, what an emotional rollercoaster. So I picked up the first book and I wasn’t able to put it down until I finished it. I know the second book is going to break me, but I’m going to start it immediately. ‘Summer was what mattered. My whole life was measured in summers. Like I don’t really begin living until June, until I’m at that beach, in that house.’

I’m definitely not the demographic for this book, but it was at least an easy read. I also didn’t like the time jumps very much. I don’t really understand how she has such a deep connection with these boys she sees for a couple months every summer, but I’m also not a teenage girl. Probably good representation for them I guess.
