This is the best one of the series. While I’ve enjoyed all the other books immensely (except the first one cause UGH) this one holds a special place. To center on healing and allowing yourself to believe you are worthy is a strong choice in the midst of chaos and potential war. To let yourself find your family when you believe you’re not worth one, is the hardest choice to make. Because it means choosing to stay and fight.

I knew this book would be a smut book, I’d been warned. However, I was not prepared for the amount of sex in this book. Easily over half of it is straight porn. That said I loved the story, Nesta’s friends, the House of Wind, Nedra’s journey to finding herself, and the humor. I feel like not having full chapter sex scenes every two pages would have made this a better book and a shorter read. Great story, but be prepared when you read.

It was jarring to shift to Nesta's perspective so far into the series, and overall I'd prefer if it were a companion book in the same universe rather than direct continuation of the series. But, I really loved elements of this book -
the relationship between Nesta, Gwyn, and Emerie, and the training component (Valkyries). I loved the house having a personality. I liked seeing a lot more of Cassian.

The plot threads outside of the house - both the stuff with Briallyn and Feyre’s pregnancy were both meh to me. The Briallyn stuff just wasn’t super interesting, and Feyre’s pregnancy was weird and made all of those other key characters less compelling than in other books.
