not sure why there is a concentration camp picture at the end, without comment?

This was a good overview of various people's response to the end of WW1. Includes civilians from Germany, France etc, soldiers from Australia, also inc politicians and even A Hitler, in his hospital bed vowing revenge.  Nice notes at the end, explaining who the real people were and referencing the source of actual quotes.

an interesting look at how the treaty of Versailles led directly to WWII. includes lots of fascinating little facts - eg Australia lost a far greater percentage of the population than the USA. A must have for my school library, companion to "My Gallipoli" by the same author.
