Sin duda, un poema desgarrador y triste, cargado de tristeza. El estilo de Poe sigue intacto, relatando acontecimientos angustiantes. No obstante, es casi dulce la forma en que describe el amor que el protagonista siente hacia Annabel Lee, jurando amarla incluso después de la muerte y pese a la envidia misma del cielo. Precioso y perfecto de principio a fin.

There’s a part of me that really wants “we loved with a love that was more than loved” tattooed on my body forevermore.
This poem probably shouldn’t be comforting, but it reminds me of one of my favourite series, so it’ll always have a special place in my heart.

Accusing angels of being so jealous of your mortal love that they plot to murder your lover is something only Poe could think up.

Many insist that this poem celebrates the enduring power of love. But I've always preferred reading this poem as an inability to move on from tragedy. Whether you agree with my stupid interpretation or not... the language is beautiful, and everyone can agree on that.
