This, like its sequel that I read first without realizing it, is a fun read that is exactly what it sets out to be.  It quite literally starts with a syllabus about exploring one of the MCs sexuality, and thats exactly what you get.  The characters do develop a relatable relationship and there is a lot of self reflection as they address their feelings (one of which is a MC coming to terms with being bisexual, the other a fear of relationships). The inner monologues as they process there feelings were well done. But because it packs in so many "lessons" and still tries to develop the characters (which the author does manage to do reasonably well), some scenes - both spicy and not - are left feeling a bit short changed.  There are probably a dozen various spicy scenes of varying degrees ranging from several pages to fade to black.

While I somewhat liked the concept, I could not get through some of the absurdities in this novel. The grandma was so weird to a point I was not able to enjoy the story anymore. DNF at 18%.
