The book itself felt like a hallmark movie and a fanfic following the same tropes and actions of each story plot in a predictable way. The side characters just felt very one-dimensional only seeming to back the main characters without any other substance to them. When it came to the main cast they never communicated with each other and never talked about how they felt or what potential issues those two would face. Along with the lack of closure we get with Darcy’s feeling on love due to her past relationship and was just finished super easily and was really talked about in the last couple of pages.

The idea of a wlw Pride and Prejudice fake-dating romance is honestly everything. But the execution was...less than perfect.

This is mostly because I (a Darcy to my core) didn’t care for Elle, to be honest. Having half the book from her perspective didn’t endear her to me either. She just seemed childish and annoying. I didn’t understand why Darcy would connect with her.

I wish I had enjoyed this book more, but it just didn’t work for me.

This was so adorable and engaging! I'm not well-versed in romance but I definitely enjoyed this a lot. The characters both had a lot of chemistry and I love them together. They're so believable and real. I enjoyed their interactions with one another. It was a bit corny and cliche at times but everything else made up for it.

Just kinda mid - it didn't really hook me and I ended up taking a month to listen to the last hour of the book. Finished it and don't think it was very memorable. Sorry for harsh review but it he my truth. 2.5 for the gays though!

I liked The Fiancé Farce better, but really enjoyed this book too.

this was cute, though not super memorable. i appreciated the discussions surrounding challenging societal expectations, and i liked elle as a character. there were quite a few typos/grammar mistakes though, and it definitely would’ve benefitted from more thorough editing

I spoke too soon when I told my friend that the story was promising because they characters were talking about their problems, but I liked it overall so it's fine
