This was so good!! Such a raw and powerful look at grief. I felt so heartbroken for her but also so seen by her words, even if our experiences weren’t the same. I love how honest she was and how her grief was present throughout. She did a wonderful job reading the audiobook and I really felt her emotions. This is so important, so well told, and I love all the short stories that give a picture of her life with and without him.

This book is raw, heartbreaking, and beautiful. It is not light reading and is not easy to plow through emotionally. However, it is a loving and fitting tribute to a love story. Grief is something we will all experience, unfortunately. What do we do with that grief when it threatens to consume us?

It’s always weird giving reviews to memoirs, but let me just say: I read this book in essentially one sitting on a Saturday night. I sobbed, feeling my heart breaking in my chest. I sat in silence after, aching. And I immediately sent my copy to my best friend. If that’s not a recommendation for this book, I don’t know what is.
