My Review

Genre: Christian Historical Fiction.

My Rating: 5 Stars.

Recommendation: Anyone who likes history, but better for 13 and up.

My favorite character is: Josie Patterson is a little different than most heroines in books I’ve read. I didn’t relate to her as much as other heroines, but I liked her a lot.
My Verse for Josie is 1 Corinthians 13:4

Love is patient and kind; love does not envy or boast; it is not arrogant. English Standard Version.

Jerry Patterson is a broken man, wounded in body and spirit. Carole Brown did a wonderful job with how she wrote Jerry’s suffering and then healing with God’s Grace.

My Verse for Jerry is Proverbs 16:18

Pride goes before destruction, and a haughty spirit before a fall. English Standard Version.

My thoughts: I almost didn’t sign up for this review because I didn’t particularly like the book cover however I am glad I changed my mind about A Flute in the Willows.
I received this book from Celebrate Lit in exchange for my honest review and the thoughts are my own.
