I liked this book. It had an interesting premise. I think I would’ve enjoyed it more in print alone cause it was hard to keep track of the timeline in the audio version. Well written and interesting plot.

The night circus

A dreamer is one who can only find his way by moonlight, and his punishment is that he sees the dawn before the rest of the world.

They are a bunch of fish covered in feathers trying to convince the public they can fly, and I am simply a bird in their midst.

We must put effort and energy into anything we wish to change.

Like the speech the man in the gray suit gives to the boy about how names are not as important

People see what they wish to see. And in most cases, what they are told that they see.

Creepy rings that bind and sink into skin - interesting

People are naive about such things (tarot cards), and they would rather write them off as evil than attempt to understand them. An unfortunate truth, but a truth nonetheless.

I wouldn’t have enough words to give you, even if I had a sea worth of ink.

Scars last longer than what created them.

You’re in the right place at the right time and you care enough for what needs to be done. Sometimes that’s enough.

Seeking immortality is not seeking anything really it is more avoiding the unavoidable.

The author wrote the book in such a way that I felt as though I was in the book experiencing the Night Circus alongside the characters.. Though it has some instances of one of the characters being called derogatory terms such as slut and whore in it. A5s well as two deaths , the first at the beginning that only implies that it was suicide and a second later that could be suicide/murder depending on how you look at it which is why I wouldn't suggest this book for anyone that isn't at least 16 if not older . I will certainly be looking for more books by Erin Morgenstern, since I am done with The Night Circus.

I quite liked this. I wasn’t entirely sure what to expect but it was a very fun and unique story. I’m not usually one who likes fluff but I liked that all the fluff came together in the end.

”you may tell a tale that takes up residence in someone's soul, becomes their blood and self and purpose. that tale will move them and drive them and who knows that they might do because of it, because of your words.”

the ending honestly disappointed me. i expected a lot more from the story. it felt like there was a build up to something bigger than what we ended up getting. and it left me with lots of unanswered questions. and then on top of that romance was very poorly executed. the insta love was not it. i did not care about celiamarco romance. baileypoppet superiority. tbh i didn’t even like marco he sucks.
but anyways baileypoppetwidget are my best trio those r my children ❤️‍

This rating is a 4.75 of 5 star rating except Storygraph doesn't allow fractions (they should).  Mogerstern does a masterful job of characters and plot like no other.  Beautifully written with multiple points of view that she juggles extremely well.  The romance although not initially the main driver is definitely there towards the end of the story making for a nice romantasy..
I really enjoyed the book and did a mix of audible and reading. I will say I didn't overall care for the narration in Audible but I didn't let it dissuade me from my overall appreciation of the story.  I found the whimsy and great writing a wonderful read.
